We at GCoMM invite you to be a part of our prayer family as we seek to develop community and pray for GCoMM 2020.

"And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, 'Hush, be still.' And the wind died down and it became perfectly calm” (Mark 4:39 NAS).
As the world faces COVID-19, the GCoMM 2020 Board is seeking the Lord’s voice over the issues the virus brings. Please pray for our God to rebuke this disease and bring calm. Pray for godly wisdom for all who want to attend: for timing in registration, visa, and flights.

"The working of prayer in faith by a righteous person brings powerfully accomplishes much." (James 5:16b)
As we see God’s working in all the details for GCoMM 2020, we thank Him for you and your effective prayers.

"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago." Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
Next Monday, February 3rd, at 8 a.m. CT, the Board will meet. As you look at the General Program, please pray for the continued planning. Please pray as we finalize which presenters will share in each Morning Plenary session and the speakers who will lead in Breakout Seminars.

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.” ~ Psalm 23:1, 3 (NIV)
As we continue to pray for GCoMM 2020, let’s seek the Lord and trust Him to continue to guide our plans and to provide the needs of our participants, speakers, and leaders. Let’s thank God that we will lack nothing for this event for He has given this opportunity to us. He has called us and He is faithful to do this (1 Thess 5:24).

Many people do not have peace during this season. Possibly, they do not know the Prince of Peace. Many may not accept the peace that far exceeds our understanding while planning for the holidays. Pray for people of peace to share with others who do not know Jesus and why He came at Christmas. Pray for people of peace to bring the ones without peace to GCoMM 2020. Pray that everyone who attends will have the peace of God flowing into their hearts at our event on July 20-23, 2020.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” (Phil 4;6-7 NLT)

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
Give thanks to him who alone does mighty miracles.
Give thanks to him who made the heavens so skillfully.
His faithful love endures forever." ~ Psalm 136:1,4,5
We do give thanks for the work that God continues to do at GCoMMs and look forward to more people using their artistic skills to serve the Giver of all gifts. To Him be all praise!

Last weekend, the GCoMM Executive Committee met for a retreat. The Lord worked in us and in the planning. We praise Him for His leadership and are excited about the event and the venue at DBU! Keep praying!
Also, please pray for the health and healing of our Board. Some have been sick prior, during, and after the retreat. Thank you very much!

As we move forward with our plans for GCoMM 2020, we have sent the Call for Seminar Presentation Proposals. We welcome submissions for individual seminars, dialogue groups, and panel discussions on topics about missions and how the arts relate to that topic. The arts can include music, performing arts, visual arts, or artistic technology (A/V, etc.). Please pray for people from many countries to answer this call. Pray that we will engage in the arts that enhance worship to the glory of God.

As GCoMM 2020 approaches, we thank the Lord for our Plenary Guests! Please pray for Dr. Robin Harris, Dr. Michael A. Ortiz, Dr. Myrleene Grace Yap, and Matthew Boswell. Pray that God will use them to encourage, challenge, and inspire those who attend. The Consultation will also include sessions with many other mission and arts leaders.

Thank you for praying for the meeting on October 18th. The leaders are very thankful for a good discussion that will help us stay on track for GCoMM 2020 with all the major decisions and planning for the event.
We would also ask that you pray for wisdom that we would hear God’s voice and follow His leadership in all decisions concerning GCoMM 2020.

"Praise Him with the sound of the horn; praise Him with the harp and lyre. Praise Him with tambourine and dancing; praise Him with strings and flute. Praise Him with clashing cymbals; Praise Him with resounding cymbals. Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! (Ps. 150:3-6 BSB)
As we pray for GCoMM 2020 each week, let’s ask the Lord to bring us participants from many countries who will share how they delight to serve our God with instruments, dance, song, drama, and art.

"May the nations praise you, O God. Yes, may all the nations praise you. Let the whole world sing for joy, because you govern the nations with justice and guide the people of the whole world." (Ps. 67:3-4 NLT)
* At this time, we are asking the Lord “for the nations” (Ps. 2:8; 22:27) that He delights to bring to Dallas next year, July 2020, for music and arts in worship.
*  Pray for the leaders as they meet October 18th to determine the best way to set registration for the event and for organization of all that is involved. Pray for the Spirit to guide in every part of this meeting as they seek to fulfill God’s call to the nations.
